šŸ“¢ New Data Paper is available!

We’re excited to share a newly published data paper in the Japan Architectural Review, featuring research conducted as part of the US-Japan Collaborative Research: Frame-Spine System with Force-Limiting Connections for Low-Damage Seismic Resilient Buildings. Funded by NSF (Award No. CMMI 1926326).

This data paper presents results from E-Defense shake-table tests of a full-scale steel moment-resisting frame (MRF) with supplemental spines designed to promote a more uniform distribution of plastic deformation along the height of the structure. Two configurations were tested: 1) Spine with bolted connections, and 2) Spine with force-limiting connections (FLCs). The paper offers an overview of the tests and data archive structure, with datasets made available to support model validation, comparative analysis, and educational use.
